This week in the News-ish
I know most of you got excited by the trailer that I posted for Harry Potter. Okay, maybe not most because I’m sure my dad didn’t. Well, Warner Bros decided to push back the release date a little. Like until July 17, 2009. Only 8 months.
In other news, I have almost been convinced to play Final Fantasy XI after reading this article. I want to spend over 18 hours against one guy. I wonder if I can do what I did in Anarchy Online when I went up against a high level boss. I just looked onto the target, hit the auto fire button, and then started reading a book while my character shoot at the boss. Of course, that did not take anywhere near 18 hours. In Guild Wars, if the fights take longer than five minutes, something is wrong. Well, that’s not entirely true. The fight with Glint took more than five minutes. And I spent ten minutes against the Remnent, but we kept dying and finally gave up.
Lara Croft is back in a new Tomb Raider game.
I logged into Myspace for the first time in forever and I had been set messages to vote in two contests. I’ve decided to share those with anyone reading this.

Lastly, I was toying around with the idea for a Analog-Theater Sci-Fi/Fantasy Convention. We could try to get Steven Erikson to come and do a panel, we could bring in the Seat Belts for a concert, maybe get one of the actors from Lost as a guest. Two or three video rooms, a dealers room, a video game room. Anyone want to sponser it? I’m looking $20,000 to get started.
