If you got a second part time job, you could get one that involved a lot of physical labor, that would help you lose your weight and make you a little extra loot.

I thought I had fixed that line about buying a vioin. Oh well, it's fixed now.

$100 is a pretty nice incentive to exercise more (in addition to the known benefits of exercise). I will take you up on that bet.

I don't know how Roxanne feels about me right now, I've never tried to get together with her.

Having moved to a new place, the lower rent is enough to pay for classes. Besides, if I had got a second job, I probably wouldn't have time to take the classes. I wonder if they offer online TKD classes?

You will lose some weight just by walking, but it has to be a real fast walk. When the weather gets better, jogging would be better, and then a good run after you build up the strength and lose enough weight to make that possible. Here is a proposition for you - you want to lose 50 pounds and I need to lose 5 (I've kind of hit a plateau, plus what I regained during the holidays). At least initially, you should be able to lose 10 pounds easier than I can lose 1 - the first few pounds are easy to get rid of. But to keep it fair, I will give you 10 times the amount of time. I have until the end of March to lose my 5 pounds (actually I want to do it in January, but don't think that will happen), so you have over 3 years to lose your 50. Winner gets $100 from the loser. Whatever I have lost by March 31, you have to have lost 10 times inside of 40 months.
You said you needed to buy a violin. I thought you bought one in Winchester.
This girl you want to date - if she isn't interested in you now, what makes you think she will be after you lose some weight? And do you really want to go out with someone who would like you just for losing weight?
You know, working as you do only 4 days a week, you could try to get a second job that might only be 1 or 2 days a week. It would give you the extra money to take the karate class you want.

As for love, your post focuses primarily on the emotion of 'infatuation' which indeed increases hormone levels as you mentioned. This is a short lived phenomenon often followed by a big let down, and divorce.

Truthfully love is a verb, not an emotion. Love is deliberate and selfless action. Love is not how you feel, it is what you do.

You can love someone without even really liking them all that much, much less spend a lot of time with them.

You've got to put more information into your posts. The other week you said something about a test, but no amplifying information. Now here is one about "songs of hers"... Who is the her in hers?

There are a few problems/slight inaccuracies with this posting. To wit:

The old market model isn't about cost - it's about income. Let's use your example of a CD vs download - a CD contains anywhere from 10 to 25 tracks. Cost - anywhere from $5 to $13. Cost to download (and I admit I'm not up to date on that) - the last I heard it was around $.99 per track. So the same amount of music I can get at the store costs up to twice as much by downloading directly. The one saving grace to this is that I can download just the tracks I want, rather than having to buy the entire album. But my point is that if the cost to deliver is so much cheaper, why doesn't the cost to buy reflect that? I don't see the 30% savings you mention.

Newspapers. I agree that they have fallen behind the times some, but they are still a necessity. Yes, national and international news is readily available online - I read online news all the time. But try to find out who won first prize at the Stump Holler county fair online. And even the cable news outlets are pathetic. Let's look at CNN Headline News for example. It runs in 1 hour loops, divided into 2 1/2 hour loops. In other words, the various news stories are slightly different in each 1/2 hour block. But in a 30 minute block, there is about 12 to 15 minutes of new - the rest is sports (go look at ESPN if you care), Michael Jackson (you really need to get a life if you care here), and commercials. In the 1 hour loop, there are less than a dozen stories, and they only come in sound bites. No matter how digital TV news goes, it won't replace a paper.

And finally the biggest drawback - when your internet connection or computer dies, you get to sit and twiddle you thumbs until it comes back.
